I just have the opportunity to update my first blog since I have very limited time because every week I must go to several airports in Malaysia for Internal Audit visit. I had to spend my time between my job and my studies. However, I would not blame anyone because it is my own choice.
Also in the last few weeks ago, we just finished fasting in Ramadhan and still on celebrating Eid until the end of Syawal. I think that is still not too late to wish "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri" for all Muslim.
In this Management Information Systems subject, I group together with Azraf Hamdan ( azrafhamdan.blogspot.com ). We have agreed to choose HSBC Bank to complete this assignments given by Madam Saida, our lecturer in this course. As mention in Azraf Hamdan blog, we choose this financial institution for our assignment because Azraf Hamdan work at HSBC Bank and he is dealing and using in the system in his daily work routine. There are many systems use in HSBC Bank. Therefore, we want to share to others about systems use in HSBC which is Internet Banking.
Internet Banking is an electronic service provided by HSBC to allow customers to perform transactions, payments etc. over the Internet through a bank’s secure website. HSBC Internet Banking gives customers secure access of the accounts any time, from anywhere in the world. With Internet Banking, customers can conduct banking transactions from their home.
The services provided in Internet Banking such as Online Transfer, Bill Payment, e-Statement, Telegraphic Transfer, Time Deposits, Foreign Exchange, Online Certificate Servicing and many more.
All customers need in order to use HSBC Internet Banking service includes:
A computer with Internet connection.
Windows Operating Software (O/S) Users: Internet Explorer 6.0 and above (recommended to have full compatibility with the system).
Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 (with 800x 600 resolution)
Security for customers is always HSBC’s top priority. HSBC Internet Banking also comes with HSBC Security Device. The Security Device is a small, key-ring size, digital code generator provided to Internet Banking customers. Once activated, customers will need to use the Security Device to generate Security Codes, which are required when customers log on and transact on Internet Banking. The Security Device serves to protect customers account from the potential internet risks while using Internet Banking.
